This was an awesome game my friend! Very interactive and fun getting the different endings, seriously good job on making them so different! I got nearly all ending in my playthrough, I recommend! Here is my gameplay video, sub and help my channel grow!
Very interesting and creepy game, I enjoyed looking for all endings, and it's well designed that it's not wasting time and you can go at your own pace, inspect everything or skip what you've seen already. Endings were made really well, lets you figure things out, read the book, do interesting things all around with different outcomes. Enjoyed it, good work!
'A well done made game with 7 Endings'! Is a type of game I like and I think you would like it too! So play the game yourself orjust watch someone else play it for you. Well if you want?
Quick comment: The Vibe is cool, lots of stuff to play with, and a nice touch with the book. BUT...when you click off the game to do something and than you click on it again. It would give you issues looking around, until you paused the game and then un-paused it, to make it work right again. So I just found a small little bug that doesn't ruin the game at all.
I am aware of that bug you mentioned, it appears to be an issue with the Godot Game Engine used to create the game, as I have found the same issue in several other people's games too! I have been trying to track down a fix for it!
For now (as you mentioned) opening and closing the pause menu is a workaround because it forces the game to re-capture the mouse.
Well I don't know much I can do here? But I can give a few ideas, like if we click off of the window it would automatic pause? Or maybe if you made a right click it would do the same refresh as if it was in a pause menu?
Really nice surprise. I loved that you could figure out the solutions from the little grimoire, the atmosphere and the choice of candles was cool. Felt like you had quite a lot control over the ritual. Would love to see a longer game
I played your game in my series and when I tell you I was into it I mean I wanted to try and get as many of the endings as I could it was well made and done good job and I cant wait to see what else you create!
This was better than I expected. I actually didn't expect all that blood and effects, thought it would be something simpler... Anyway, I wrote a review with some feedback, but in short: This was great, I just wish there was some more "variation" between endings. Our friend saying she's blind and then saying the same thing in each game is... Strange to say the least xD
Thanks for the kind words and review, I really appreciate the time and thought you put into your feedback :)
I agree with most of your thoughts! I am aware that I have a non-conventional take on some mechanics that definitely means the way I implement things doesn't align with some people's expectations. Given the simplicity of the games I make, I think I'm OK with that, broadly, though I still consider all the advice I get going forward :)
There is a 'simple' vibe I like in the spooky little Itch horror games I play, and I try to emulate that as best I can.
I could go into more detail with my 'design intentions' in a devlog if it would be of interest to anybody but it would just be a wall of text if I put it here! haha
Uh, excuse me? Your games aren't simple, just short.
The endings are very simple, but that's really up to you as to how you do them, same with dialogue. But if you did change some of them, I feel like the game would stand out more and be more 'unique' as so to say... This was just my opinion to make the game more smoother to play...? I'm sure that's not the right word, but I hope you get what I mean. xD
I really enjoyed this! Figuring out all 7 endings was super fun and intuitive as long as you pay attention. Environment was nice. Loved the 2D sprites for the items that turn with your camera, it reminded me a lot of Doom and other old 90's FPS games. Really appreciate all the settings. Overall a good little horror time! If I had to complain about anything, it's that I wish there was a bit more written after each ending to give them a bit more impact. Even just a sentence or two.
I don't know who Grainwood Games are, but if you folks keep this up and make longer experiences with this much creativity and atmospheric polish, then I am 100% on board. Easy endorsement.

I really liked it.
It's simple, short, with a good portion of replayability with the 7 endings , everything feels connected and well done, good game.

I couldn't manage to find every single ending but I enjoyed it a lot, very fun and creative
Did just the 1 ending, but still was a good game!
This was actually pretty solid! Got all 7 endings. Made a video on it.
Cool game, great replayability, only did 3 endings, but it was fun.
Awesome work! Secret Ending had me feeling accomplished lol.
