Very fun game loved the easter egg with the charm from the ritual game. I really enjoyed this game and got good jumpscares. Loved the story too really really great game devs. I got all the endings too which were fun to figure out.
This was fantastic - so far, definitely my favourite of these "going out at night to get some food" games!
I see you used Godot – could I ask how you put together some of it? I'm currently deciding on whether to use Godot or Unity for a similar project, and weighing up the options – the biggest things I'm considering now are modelling the environment/house (preferably all in engine), and doing the shaders and PSX style VFX. Did you do the PSX stuff yourself?
Doing the modelling entirely in-engine with either Godot or Unity would be... challenging? You really need to be using blender or equivalent software for anything more complex than a box lol.
Unity has its own terrain editor and tree creator and while I believe there are 3rd party terrain plugins in the works for Godot, in both instances I'd still rather use blender (though I never got fully fluent with the unity systems).
Unity will have Waaay more tutorials and resources online so is probably easier to get into (maybe? Though I find Godot much easier to actually use!) but Godot isn't lacking in documentation and being open-source vs the money-grubbers that own Unity is a big plus for me lol
Shaders are always a little complex, I'd say creating them in either Unity or Godot is much the same process. The basic NTSC and film grain filters I use I originally found tutorials for online and then modified the parts that didn't work for me. Other than that I just make sure to only use simply geometry and set the game to a low resolution.
Thanks so much for the reply! After seeing Tunic and Crow Country being made with ProBuilder in Unity, I'm interested in a totally in-engine option like that, but it's not a necessity.
That sounds reasonable then and not too crazy. Thanks again, much appreciated!
Really enjoyed this game, liked the humour and the pretty good scares while not being to much, a little confused on the endings and how many to find exactly but overall loved it.
Egg fried rice is delicious, not gonna lie. Anyway the game was great though playing it while already being hungry might not have been my brightest idea hahaha. I'll definitely be coming back to this to get all the other endings, cause it was quite fun. I love the ''not actually invisible'' walls to restrict the player, I thought that was a genius move. Overall, great sense of humor and spookiness, great job dev(s)!
I'm always a fan of these "wake up and get food etc" horror games, but this one definitely felt like one of the more polished ones of the bunch! Loved hunting for the other endings! Good job!
One of the best horror games on Itch IO for 2024. I love how after making the obvious right decision you coax us into playing again. I played it two times in a row kind of wanting to try a third just to make sure I did not miss any details.
I don't think I got all the endings, but this game was very fun to play! I would have liked for the endings to be numbered when you finally reach them, but all in all, very solid game. Sound design was great and the killer definitely made me feel tense at times. The endings were so morbid lol even when you think you did the right thing, it would still take a dark turn. I like how all of this was because of egg fried rice ^^"
Very well made. Clean game. Very atmospheric. Loved the theme. I think you are on to something good here. Animations and everything are nog to much or to less. Nice balance. <Well done.

Enjoyed your game very much. Fun to play but scary at the same time - well done!
Good, tapi emang lumayan repetitif untuk nyari endingnya sih..
